It looks like the vast majority of Twitter search results are driven by content in the 140-character message. For example, searching “Avatar Twitter” will bring up a stream of real-time tweets discussing the latest James Cameron film. Searching by a person’s Twitter username also gives results provided you know which username to search – they aren’t always intuitive. Username searches will display the user’s tweets as well as re-tweets and tweets directed at them. Real-time Twitter results may not be the best place to find specific tweets or bits of information, but I think they will be useful in gauging consumer attitude toward specific brands or products.

The downside is that when "Bing: New Features Relevant to Webmasters" was released they stated that they only put categorization in place for 20% of their listings. Not everything has that feature, and nowhere did they give any information on how it works. While it is a useful feature it isn't there for the majority of items that I personally conduct searches for.

On top of that it still doesn't provide us with solid and sound results. It still provides a multitude of completely irrelevant websites. Using the term "Decision Engine" to describe itself may have been a little presumptuous.

However it still is in its infancy and has a lot of room for growth. It has potential, but needs time and further development to reach that potential.

This is really cool for small business. It does sometimes pose a problem or geotargeting outside of your own state however. We saw this with very low impressions for one client campaign set to run in California. Google told us it was a hitch in this new ip targeting.

Hey Zach,

GetListed.org is still a bit "spotty" in its coverage and accuracy, although a welcomed concept. There is an awesome resource at http://www.emarketingmatador.com/step-2-local-search-directories. This lists and ranks all the local search engines, directories and data providers. Hope this helps out 90 clients.
