What happens when one project gives way to a bigger opportunity? Sometimes, a pathway to achieve short-term and long-term brand goals emerges. For Oracle, what started as a simple content refresher for Oracle Marketing Cloud (OMC) evolved into a chance to solidify the overarching Oracle brand and fuel market demand for its products.

Oracle’s enduring commitment to excellence makes it an honor for 90octane to share recognition for a Silver Key—in the Content Marketing Program category—at this year’s Fourteener Awards. The OMC Ignite Guides and Spark Series were products of fierce collaboration and hard work by both teams and the results speak for themselves.

Archetyping and a Brand Revolution

The method behind the madness? Well, creating compelling materials for an established brand like OMC doesn’t happen just by writing new content and slapping a logo on it. No, to make something memorable, it’s vital to determine who the brand is and what it stands for. To uncover this, we conducted an in-depth archetype selection exercise with the OMC team.

Through the process, we were able to dive deeper into OMC’s personality and determine how to best communicate it to the world using a voice possessing strength, endurance and agility. With this knowledge, we created a refreshed set of guides that further differentiated the brand in the market.

The Results

The revitalized Ignite Guides and Spark Series not only provided updated information on Oracle’s product suite, but added sound advice on digital marketing—attracting prospects, pulling readers toward conversion and instilling trust in the Oracle brand.

Reinforced by a unique look, feel, and voice, the new assets successfully demonstrated the power and premier positioning of Oracle to marketers across all disciplines—which, in harmony with broader campaign efforts, helped close in on lofty pipeline revenue goals over the fiscal year.

Talk about seizing the moment.
